Welcome to Doring Kappie

Breeder of Pedigree African Pigmy Hedgehogs

Welcome to Doring Kappie

At Doring Kappie, we believe every little “Krimpie” has a fairytale waiting to unfold. Here they are raised with love, care, and respect. Our goal is to introduce healthy, happy, and well-socialized hedgehogs to their forever homes.

Why Doring Kappie?

We are proud to breed ethically and responsibly under the standards of the South African Hedgehog Breeders Association. Each Doring Kappie hedgehog comes with a full pedigree and is selected for the best genetics and personalities.

How we care

  • Females enjoy long resting periods between litters and retire lovingly at 2.5 years.

  • Spacious enclosures with toys and enrichment provide a stimulating, happy life.

  • Only the strongest health and sweetest temperaments are kept in our breeding lines.

About Me

ABOUT Doring Kappie

Hi, I’m Lize-Marie, the heart behind Doring Kappie. My love for animals runs deep, and hedgehogs have completely stolen my heart. What started as a small fascination quickly grew into a dream of creating a safe, loving space where these tiny, spiky souls could thrive.

At Doring Kappie, I breed African Pygmy Hedgehogs with the utmost care, patience, and respect. Each little one is raised in a calm, enriching environment where personality and health come first. My goal is to match every hedgehog with a family that will love them just as much as I do.

Because here at Doring Kappie, every little one begins their own “Klein Krimpie, Groot Sprokie.”
